During
the 1830's, artists Karl Bodmer and George
Catlin traveled deep into the American West
to record the customs, costumes, and ceremonies
of Native Americans. Their 19th century hand-tinted
etchings and lithographs come to life when
paired with the contemporary sculpture of
Jopln native Joe Beeler (1931-2006), one of
four founding members of the Cowboy Artists
of America.
