Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Egg) Decoration
with Carolyn Trout

You’ve seen those gorgeous Ukrainian eggs, now try one yourself. Carolyn Trout, former director of the Joplin Public Library, has been creating Ukrainian Easter eggs (Pysanky) for 25 years. This ancient art form uses egg shells, beeswax, and water-soluble dyes to create masterpieces in miniature.

Spiva programs are made possible with financial assistance
from The Friends of St. Avips and the Missouri Arts Council,
a State agency.
